CFA® Exam Preparation Courses

CfBS Center for Business Studies follows CFA Institute Prep Provider Guidelines.

For the June 2012 exams we are offering the following live and on-line course options:

  • live four-month weekday classes for all three levels and a Saturday class for level I in Zurich, starting in January 2012
  • live five-day intensive review courses for all three levels in Zurich, starting in April 2012
  • on-line courses for levels I and II (start is possible anytime after January 2012).

For the December 2012 exam we are offering the following live and on-line course options:

  • live four-month weekday class for level I in Zurich, starting on 7 August 2012
  • live five-day intensive review course for level I in Zurich, starting on 1 November 2012
  • on-line course for level I (start is possible anytime after July 2012)

Open Evening Sessions

CfBS offers open evening sessions for (potential) CFA candidates on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, 10 January 2012 from 18.30 to 20.15 hrs.
  • Tuesday, 26 June 2012 from 18.30 to 20.15 hrs.

CFA® Program

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) program is a globally recognized standard for professionals in the financial services industry. The CFA charter is awarded by CFA Institute, based in Charlottesville, Virginia / USA. The first charter was presented in 1963 and more than 90,000 charters have been awarded since. Over 100,000 candidates worldwide participated in the 2011 exams.

To obtain the CFA charter, CFA Institute has set different requirements. One is that candidates have to pass three exams, referred to as level I, level II, and level III. Candidates can take only one exam per year and are only admitted to take the next level exam after passing the previous level exam.
